House available starting in December

The house is available starting January 1st, 2012. Possibly earlier, by one or two weeks if needed. Please call Glenn or Mary Pontiff at 830-774-4294 for a viewing. Current tenant leaves on Dec 8th, so viewings prior to this will show the house occupied.

The Lease

You can choose between a six month or year lease. The rent will be $1925 per month and rent includes pest control, yard maintenence, and water sprinkler utility. We have an agreement with pest control agency for long term termite prevention, so we will cover it. The deposit is $1200. Pets are acceptable on a case by case basis and includes a deposit depending on the type and size animal. We can discuss pets.

PROPERTY MANAGERS

If you have problems with the home, they will be resolved quickly and locally by my parents who also live in Del Rio. They will be able to support any lease changes and property issues.

The Location



Located in north Del Rio, 108 Saddle Blanket is 9.37 miles from the front gate of Laughlin AFB. It takes about 20 minutes to drive from door to door. It can take 25 minutes if your driving during school day traffic.
The house is 15 minutes drive to Lake Amistad, and 15 minutes from the international bridge to Mexico. 5 minutes drive is everything you need, Wal Mart, Home Depot, mall, movie theater, all the restaurants, and the airport.
The neighborhood is very quiet with plenty of room for exercise or walks. Buena Vista Elementary school has K through 5th grade, and is a half mile away. Our children walk to school when the weather is nice. Del Rio High school is only 2 miles away, a short bike ride. San Felipe Middle school is about 5 miles away. There are many military families in the neighborhood and it is one of the best places to live in all of the town.
There really are no downsides to this neighborhood. When the loop is finished construction in 2010, the base will only be 15 minutes drive.

The Property

The home is a lovely 4 bedroom, 3 1/2 bathroom single family house in the Reservation neighborhood in north Del Rio.

There is a master bedroom with master bathroom. The master is large enough that we were able to use it as an office with desk and internet as well as fit our treadmill for working out. The master has one ceiling fan. It is isolated on the north end of the home, away from the other bedrooms. The master bath has a spacious whirlpool tub with bubbles on a timer. Also, a double showerhead tile floor shower. Separate his/her sinks and two walk-in closets. Also the toilet is behind it's own door with extractor fan.
The guest bedroom is also roomy with cable, phone ready, and ceiling fan. It has it's own closet and en suite bathroom with shower. The other two bedrooms are very roomy with cable, ceiling fans, and closets. The bathroom on the south side is full bathroom.

The living room is massive cathedral ceiling with wiring already installed for surround sound. It has a fireplace, never used, and two remote controlled ceiling fans.

The entry hall is tiled floor with closet. The dining room has a vaulted ceiling and carpet.

The kitchen includes a large breakfast area and tons of cabinet space. It has two sinks, one with garbage disposal. There is also a reverse osmosis tap on the sink. The kitchen has a dishwasher, electric oven, range top and cabinet space for microwave. The kitchen is cable ready and has a desk with internet ready.There is a pantry. The refrigerator is included with the property. There is an island with electrical power.

The laundry room is isolated and very large with storage cabinets. There is also a half bath adjacent to the kitchen, perfect for visitors.

The garage is large with room for two vehicles and storage. Also has the attic access with some storage space provided above. There is a spare refrigerator in the garage included with the property.

The backyard is massive and grass covered with a large patio including two ceiling fans for those warm Del Rio summer nights. There are speakers installed in the ceiling on the patio for outdoor entertainment. The wiring is all routed to the living room system. We also built a custom made playground including a swing and double story twin towers. There is a secret crawlspace and cubbie holes to hide and play in. Slide and saloon style kids kitchen. The kitchen provides a perfect view of the playground to watch the kids while reading or working.

Front yard is grassed with small patio for watching the sunsets. There is a sprinkler system for both front and backyard, and can be controlled from the garage.

The house has a water softener and sediment filter.
